Maintenance Tech

JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY
Responsible for the maintenance service and repairs within the company facilities which involve: plumbing, carpentry, painting and
plastering, service of machinery, electrical repairs or installations, and servicing of the company automobiles and trucks.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Performs regular maintenance on company vehicles (vans and trucks) such as oil and lube changes, engine tune-ups, and brake
repairs.

Locates, checks, and replaces broken or malfunctioning electrical switches within the building facility.

Repairs woodwork utilizing carpentry tools.

Performs corrective plumbing repairs to building facility restrooms, washrooms and breakrooms.

Applies plaster and paint to improve appearance of building structures.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Perform similar and incidental duties as required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma with related college courses preferred.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in Human Resources or related field.
Knowledge: Knowledge of recruitment and selections, training development, compensation and benefits, employee relations, customer service, computer application software, ability to get along well with others, accept constructive criticism and be a team player.
Language Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in oral, written, and presentation communications. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
Math Skills: Overall skills and knowledge of mathematical and accounting principles and practices.
Other Skills: Time management skills to effectively schedule and meet company demands.
Other Abilities: Ability to handle multiple priorities.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Vice President of Operations.

MAJOR BUSINESS/PROFESSIONAL CONTACTS
Frequent contact with management, and employees.

WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Normal work environment involving minimum discomforts or hazardous conditions. The noise level is usually moderate.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
May require extended periods of time sitting or standing while performing work.
