JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY
Responsible for the timely, efficient, and safe delivery of company merchandise to customers as well as verifying paperwork and invoices to ensure compliance with company policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Verifies the daily delivery route schedule and collects appropriate customer invoices.
Obtains and inspects merchandise orders to ensure accuracy in quality and quantity.
Serves as a point-of-contact between customer and company by maintaining a positive attitude and professional demeanor at all times.
Unloads furniture, verifies COD amounts, collects amount due, obtains appropriate signatures for the business transaction, and generates receipts for customer and company in accordance with company policies.
Documents and prepares daily delivery schedule log of activities and transactions to review end-of-day with Delivery Manager/VP Operations.
Assumes responsibility for the truck from beginning to end of work shift including the cleanliness, safe operations and equipment issued for use on the truck.
Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems while traveling on the delivery route, during business transactions, and during
professional interactions with the Delivery Manager/VP Operations.
Resolves problems and issues with customers while ensuring strong customer satisfaction of delivery and delivery procedures.
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Perform similar and incidental duties as required.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Minimum two (12) years experience operating Bobtail® commercial vehicles operating vehicles approximately 18 feet or more.
Knowledge: Requires good understanding of customer service, possess a general geographic knowledge of highways and streets, ability to utilize a Thomas Guide, basic mechanical truck operations, ability to operate pallet jacks and truck lift gates, and basic understanding of professional courtesy while driving and during delivery transactions with customers.
Language Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written communication.
Math Skills: Overall general arithmetic skills and knowledge of mathematical principles.
Other Skills: Time management skills to effectively schedule and meet company demands.
Physical Abilities: Ability to life and unload merchandise weighing at least 70 pounds.
Other Abilities: Ability to handle multiple priorities.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
Reports to the Delivery Manager/VP Operations

Frequent contact with management, employees and customers
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk and/or hear; uses hands and fingers and handles or feels objects, tools or controls; reaches with hands or arms; climbs or balances; stoops, kneels, crouches, and/or crawls. The employee is regularly required to lift and/or move approximately 70 pounds or more.
